For the inspiration of Fred Rogers, we give thanks! Accepting a Lifetime Achievement Award at the 1997 Emmys, Fred Rogers looked out over the star-studded audience and said: "All of us have special ones who have loved us into being. Would you just take, along with me, 10 seconds to think of the people who have helped you become who you are?
Ten seconds of silence. I'll watch the time." See the video here!
Whenever he spoke, he would ask for the same 10-60 seconds of silence to remember those who helped each one in the audience become who they are ... We so fondly remember you Fred Rogers with grateful hearts. I have really never considered myself a TV star.
I always thought I was a neighbor who just came in for a visit. ~ Fred Rogers

What makes the difference between wishing and realizing our wishes? Lots of things, and it may take months or years for a wish to come true, but it's far more likely to happen when you care so much about a wish that you'll do all you can to make it happen. ~ Fred Rogers
